We know the all-new mid-engine Corvette is finally going to be revealed next month, and we’ll have plenty of live coverage given it’s happening in our backyard. In the meantime, Chevy released a quick video last month that teased the C8, and today it provided an annotated version with a closer look at some of the images and Easter egg surprises you may have missed.

Like the original video, the updated one starts with a signature Corvette logo transition that morphs from C1 to C8 and opens with the voice and film image of Corvette patron and longtime chief engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov asking, “Is your seat belt fastened?” before a rocket launch and then a flash cut to the 1964 mid-engine XP 817 GS-II Corvette. This is followed by the mid-engine 1976 882 Aerovette, the C7.R 1-2 photo finish at the 2016 Rolex 24 at Daytona, footage of Zora driving the first mid-engine Corvette Experimental Research Vehicle, a clip featuring the original 1953 C1 Corvette, the 1963 Mid-engine CERV II testing, and publicity images of the 1959 Stingray Racers. From there we see the 1986 mid-engine Indy Corvette in red, a black and white photograph of Zora behind the wheel of a magnesium-body 1957 SS Race Car, and a 1990 mid-engine CERV III in blue before dissolving into the 07.18.19 date we all have committed to memory by now.

Did we miss anything? Watch the video above and let us know—we’re too busy getting geeked about the C8 Corvette all over again.
