Jeep unveiled three special SUVs in Frankfurt, each complete with unique design and performance treatments from Mopar. The Jeep Cherokee KrawLer, Renegade Trailhawk, and Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser hit the stage this week to show customers the many ways in which these SUVs can be modified via Fiat Chrysler’s official accessories partner.
Based on the Cherokee Trailhawk, the Cherokee KrawLer features a familiar 3.2-liter V-6 engine as well as unique “rock crawler” abilities. An upgraded suspension, higher ride, off-road tires, wider fenders, skid plates, and rock rails make this Cherokee more suited for tackling the hardest nature has to offer. Design-wise, the KrawLer features a military-inspired green body color along with a quartz gray interior.
The off-road Trailhawk badge has now made its way to the smaller Renegade. The Jeep Renegade Trailhawk features underbody skid plates, 17-inch aluminum alloy rims, two rear tow hooks, and Anvil-colored paint scheme. Inside, look for Jeep design mats and sport pedals.
Completing Jeep’s Frankfurt lineup is the Wrangler Rubicon Sunriser, the most colorful of the bunch. Along with its bright orange paintwork, this bruiser also features a 4-inch lifted suspension, LED lights, and a double tow hook up front. In contrast to its rugged exterior, the cabin is lined with black leather. The model also includes an engine skid plate and beadlock wheels, fixing the tire bead to the rim to prevent tire removal when driving over rocks, sand, or mud. Under the hood lies a 2.8-liter CRD turbodiesel engine, which is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission.
