Small updates for the new model year
The 2019 Buick LaCrosse continues on with minor updates two years after its full redesign. Headlining the updates is a new Sport Touring model with subtle cosmetic changes.
The new model, arriving this summer, features a black mesh grille, subtle rear spoiler, 19-inch midnight silver wheels, and an ST badge on the trunk lid. Instead of chrome, the grille surround and side vents are painted in the same color as the rest of the car. Available exterior colors include Ebony Twilight Metallic, Quicksilver Metallic, Red Quartz Tintcoat, Satin Steel Metallic, and White Frost Tricoat.
Introduced last year on the LaCrosse is a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with light electrification, producing a system output of 194 hp. But ST models receive the optional 3.6-liter V-6 engine good for 310 hp. This engine comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Prices for the ST start at $40,295 USD, making it the most expensive LaCrosse in the lineup excluding the Avenir.
Speaking of Avenir models, this trim receives a new standard air ionizer designed to improve air quality and eliminate odors. For $45,795 USD, the Avenir boasts a panoramic power moonroof, wireless phone charging, navigation, surround sound audio system, and special interior trim. Two new exterior colors are available in the lineup: Carrageen Metallic and Pewter Metallic.
