YouTuber takes Ring Taxi to catch Pokemon on Green Hell
It was only a matter of time before Pokemon Go entered the gearhead sphere, and now the mobile game phenomenon has breached one of the most famous race tracks in the world, Germany’s challenging Nürburgring. In this video, Russian YouTube user Boosted Boris takes a BMW M3 Ring Taxi and goes around the track to play Pokemon Go and catch different kinds of Pokemon on what looks to be a leisurely drive around the race track.
How did he do? Pokemon trainers will be pleased to know that the Green Hell is home to such virtual creatures as Pidgeys, Zubats, Spearows, a Krabby, an Abra, and a Weedle. Sure, Boosted Boris didn’t get many of the rarer Pokemon, but he was able to catch quite a few from the passenger seat.
Compared to other video games, Pokemon Go forces players to go out in the real world to look for Pokemon instead of sitting at home in front of a screen. The augmented reality game has exploded in popularity since it was released last week. With that, you can expect that Boosted Boris’ Nürburgring Pokemon adventure won’t be the last automotive story we hear involving digital creatures.
