Used British exotics get a warranty
Are you looking for a used DB9 or V12 Zagato but don’t want the hassle of buying one from a private party or a random dealer? Aston Martin has your back following the launch of its new certified pre-owned sports car program called Timeless. Now, customers can buy pre-owned Aston Martins with a comprehensive one-year warranty and roadside assistance from the luxury brand’s global dealer network.
“I am very happy to see the launch of this new and improved pre-owned service,” said Christian Marti, Aston Martin VP and chief sales officer, in a statement. “Additions such as the new inspection regime – which for the first time includes a comprehensive assessment and review of our cars’ software, as well as their technical condition – can only add confidence for our buyers.”
All Aston Martin models from the last ten years are eligible for the program, according to the British brand.
“Aston Martin rightly prides itself on its personal customer service, attention to detail and luxury, and with the debut of the Timeless pre-owned program around the world, I know we are better placed than ever to continue to improve these elements of our business,” Marti added.
Hardware and software updates are welcome news for wary buyers that may be on the fence about buying a used modern British exotic.
Timeless is currently available in Europe, the Middle East, and the U.K. It will also be offered in North America in the spring of 2017. A provenance certificate and the car’s service history are also included in the program. It seems like a win-win if you are in the market for a slightly used One-77—or maybe even a DB11 barely abused by a not-so-secret MI6 agent.
