The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show is in the books and was dominated by new crossovers and even more hatchbacks. There were, however, a few oddballs that will likely never make it to production or the North America and the video below showcases just a few Frankfurt Fringe vehicles.
Associate editor Scott Evans starts off with the Borgward BX7 crossover. The BX7 is interesting because it marks the return of Germany’s Borgward after an absence of over 50 years. While the Borgward BX7 is a decent looking crossover, it’ll be interesting how the automaker fares in the long run.
Next up, a pair of Honda vehicles enter the spotlight starting with the Euro-spec CR-V, which can be optioned with a number of interesting features not available in North America. Also featured in the video is the Honda Project 2&4 concept, a wild race car that’s powered by a motorcycle engine and is super light, weighing in at just under 900 pounds (408 kg).
Finally, see why senior features editor Jonny Lieberman is literally speechless when it comes to the Rolls-Royce Wraith customized by Mansory. And don’t miss our video featuring “Best in Show” picks from the Frankfurt auto show.
