Sedan goes on sale this spring.
Infiniti detailed its revamped Q50 late last year, and now the automaker is showing off all three variants of the sedan at the Chicago auto show. The 2016 Infiniti Q50 goes on sale starting this spring.
The Q50 2.0t is the first variant, and brings a much-needed four-cylinder option to the model range. The car packs a new 2.0-liter turbo inline-four engine delivering 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Also on display is the Q50 3.0t, which features a new 3.0-liter V-6 twin-turbo engine making 300 hp and 295 lb-ft. The Q50 Red Sport 400 has the same 3.0-liter V-6 engine but pumps out a hearty 400 hp and 350 lb-ft.
Three variants of the Infiniti Q50, as well as the QX60 and QX30 crossovers, will be on public display at the Chicago auto show that started February 13 and goes until February 21. Buyers can purchase the Q50 Red Sport 400 starting in early spring, followed by the Q50 3.0t in late spring. The four-cylinder Q50 doesn’t arrive in dealerships until later this winter.
Along with these three variants, Infiniti will carry over the Q50 Hybrid’s 3.5-liter gas-electric hybrid powertrain from last year. This system continues to produce a total of 360 hp. All Q50 powertrains come paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission and are available with a choice of rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
