The Force Awakens at FCA.
FCA has released five Star Wars-themed videos ahead of the upcoming seventh installment in the movie series. Each of the videos represents one of the automaker’s most popular mainstream North American brands.
In the first video, a pair of Fiat 500 Abarth hatchbacks; one in black and the other in white; can be seen traveling through a barren desert. The two opposing paint schemes represent the dark side and the light side of the force.
The Chrysler video shows how a man’s obsession with Star Wars evolves from the first time he saw the original movies to the upcoming seventh film as he moves from a newlywed in a Chrysler 200 to a father in a Town & Country minivan. On his way to the theater with his son, he stops to admire the Chrysler 300 sedan.
The third video opens with a battle between a pair of X-Wings and a Tie-Fighter with a Star Destroyer in the background. As the Tie-Fighter bursts into flames and streaks across the Earth’s sky like a shooting star, a woman in a Jeep Renegade turns to her male companion and comments on how peaceful space looks.
In the fourth video, the Ram pickup‘s available turbodiesel engines are compared to the Force that plays a key role in the Star Wars saga. The video highlights many of the Ram pickup line’s best-in-class towing, payload, and fuel economy.
The last video may be the best of the bunch. As Darth Vader’s theme song plays, a black Dodge Viper leads an entourage comprised of white Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats, Dart sedans, as well as Journey and Durango SUVs.
