The 2017 Macan GTS will sit between the Macan S and Macan Turbo and will feature items from both models. From the Macan S is a tweaked version of the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 that makes 360 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. All that torque is available at a low 1,650 rpm. That puts the Macan GTS at 20 hp and 30 lb-ft higher than the Macan S. The 3.6-liter twin-turbo V-6 in the Macan Turbo produces 400 hp and 406 lb-ft.
Next up is a PDK seven-speed dual-clutch automatic straight from the Macan Turbo. If optioned with the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche says the Macan GTS will run to 60 mph in an estimated 4.8 seconds. Our test of the Macan S returned a 0-60 mph time of 4.9 seconds.
Other performance goodies include a recalibrated version of the Porsche Stability Management system, air suspension, and larger brakes that sit behind 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels. The Macan GTS will ride 10 mm lower than the Macan Turbo and can be optioned with a Torque Vectoring system.
Visual treatments mimic other GTS models. Exterior touches include black accents and a GTS badge. The interior features a standard leather package, Alcantara seat inserts, GTS logos on the headrests, Sound Package Plus, and a tachometer with Carmine Red face. Pricing for the 2017 Porsche Macan GTS starts at $68,195 USD, including $995 USD destination fee.
